About Us
Welcome to Michelle Slater Performing Arts Studio, Michelle Slater and Kevin Coyne the principles of the studio have performed in Australia, West End (UK) and Broadway (NY) in shows Tap Dogs, Sunset Boulevard, The Boy From OZ, Hot Shoe Shuffle, Me and My Girl, Chicago, Crazy for you, Mamma Mia, and Billy Elliot. Michelle and Kevin have been involved with the performing arts by either studying, teaching or professionally performing for over 70 years collectively.
Our school includes:
- 6 fully air-conditioned studios
- Canteen/Snack Bar available
- End of year concert at the Comedy Theatre
- A yearly Musical Theatre performance
- A yearly Singing and Drama showcase
- A yearly Drama performance
- Competitions that students compete at Darebin Commonwealth Dance Society and Royal South Street Ballarat comps (Teachers Aggregate winner at both comps)
- Clothing: Jazz/Tap- casual dancewear with appropriate footwear, Ballet – all classes (exam & non exam) have specific clothing requirements according to age.
