As the physical demands placed on today’s dancers continue to grow, it is vital that their physiology and fitness becomes just as important as skill development.

Dancers, above all, must have good health and physical stamina, along with flexibility, agility, and coordination. To do this, they require a total understanding of how the body works. To this end, the study of health and sports nutrition thru the Personal Training Certificate will include:

- The science of the human movement and studying the human body;
- Nutrition and exercise, examining how diet can affect the body;
- Body conditioning, understand injury and illness prevention

In addition, the supplemental strength training will lead to better dancing by improving technique, employing a more effective injury prevention program, and determining better physical conditioning strategies.

On successful completion, graduates will receive a Personal Training Certificate IV from the Australian College of Sports Development.

The Personal Training Certificate IV is Austudy/Abstudy, Youth Allowance approved.
